Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 3 years of experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to organize work efficiently and handle several assignments simultaneously
  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure and work independently and with minimal supervision
  • The candidates should be able to type 50 words a minute and complete work assignments within deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be knowledgeable about the general organization and activities of the specific program, unit, branch or department
  • The candidates should understand corporate, departmental, and branch policies and procedures and familiar with office practices and procedures
  • The candidates should be proficient in using the Corporate Records Management system and aware of departmental, branch-specific programs and initiatives
  • The candidates should have experience with corporate computer and software applications such as Windows, Word, Excel, Access and SharePoint
  • The candidates should know applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers and display good judgment and discretion
  • The candidates should be able to effectively communicate information to staff and the public, both verbally and in written form and knowledge of health care, common medical diagnoses, and medications
  • The candidates should maintain strong interpersonal relations with staff, residents, and visitors and demonstrate tact and discretion and aware that those who do not meet the language requirements will be required to participate in training
  • The candidates should meet the designated bilingual language requirements with proficiency in French and English, including oral, reading, and writing skills
  • The candidates should note that experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements
  • The candidates should be aware of and sensitive to program-specific targets and population and possess excellent interpersonal skills, show initiative and reliability

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide clerical and administrative support to assigned program staff by performing word processing, typing, data entry, and filing activities
  • The candidates should be able to research information pertaining to program documents and liaise with internal staff and external stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to schedule meetings, respond to inquiries and complaints, and assist in the gathering, compiling, and presentation of material to various stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to constantly monitor and apply best practices for waitlist management
