Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of BLS Certification
Experience: Candidates should have previous working experience with elderly in long term care or a senior living environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have active registration with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN) and a valid CPR and First Aid certification
- The candidates should be able to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire
- The candidates should have advanced proficiency in the English language and proficiency in French
- The candidates should ideally have completed any previous course in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
- The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and direct resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services while respecting the client’s right to individualized planning of health services
- The candidates should be able to work with existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance with policies and procedures
- The candidates should be able to administer and record prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice
- The candidates should be able to maintain standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting
- The candidates should be able to apply dressings and treatments according to physician’s orders and policy
- The candidates should be able to assist with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other healthcare staff
