Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a related field such as Interior Design, Architecture, Planning, Project Management or Business
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 8 years progressively responsible team and program or project management experience with a Degree
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a minimum of 10 years progressively responsible team and program or project management experience with a Diploma and should have coursework or training in project management, workspace planning, financial management, or other leadership training
- The candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of planning and design processes and demonstrate strong program/project management skills, including an understanding of project management methods and techniques (PMBOK best practices)
- The candidates should have demonstrated experience leading Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of projects and possess strong contract management skills, including the selection process, claims management, and performance evaluation
- The candidates should have proven planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills and have experience developing and implementing communications and engagement plans
- The candidates should demonstrate strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills with experience in solving complex and sensitive issues and possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presenting
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability and willingness to develop strong, strategic relationships and deliver work in a collaborative, integrated manner and should have experience managing and working with external consultants

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of project managers and coordinators while managing the development of their own projects
- The candidates should be able to develop strategies to ensure efficient optimization of City workspaces and lead key aspects of workspace planning, including needs assessments, space allocation, layout design, and furniture selection
- The candidates should be able to manage a team of project managers and project coordinators to deliver a series of projects on time, on budget, and within scope, while also acting as a project manager on specific complex projects
- The candidates should be able to monitor and manage overall risk to the program/projects as well as to the City and its reputation, ensuring the use of project management systems and best practices to deliver projects efficiently and effectively
- The candidates should be able to oversee the development of comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement plans for programs of work and foster a holistic approach to workspace planning through policy and process development
- The candidates should be able to create, leverage, and maintain strategic relationships necessary to advance the goals and objectives of programs/projects, applying systems thinking to manage multiple ongoing and concurrent projects
- The candidates should be able to mentor and coach staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and networking amongst project teams, across the corporation, and beyond, ensuring project managers and project coordinators are empowered and have the competencies, tools, and equipment required for them to perform their roles
- The candidates should be able to hold project teams accountable for key deliverables throughout the lifespan of a project, ensuring that processes and policies are being adhered to, and develop and implement staff performance development and management plans
