Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and in noisy environments
- The candidates should be adaptable to air-conditioned conditions and prepared for physically demanding work
- The candidates should have experience with repetitive tasks and a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be proficient in bending, crouching, and kneeling and adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs supporting the holistic development of children
- The candidates should be able to engage in storytelling and lead activities, including telling stories, teaching songs, and exploring local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and support early childhood educators in program implementation
- The candidates should be able to engage children in various activities, fostering creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while maintaining daycare equipment and assisting in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to have knowledge of licensing regulations and establish guidelines for behavior
- The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children, discussing progress or problems with parents and staff members
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to collectively address the progress and problems of children
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment ensuring the health, security, and well-being of children
- The candidates should be able to plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours
- The candidates should be able to supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
